Take a journey to learn about all the chakras, "wheels" or "vortexes" in Sanskrit. They are our centers of energy that balance us in connection to ourselves, the Divine, and the world around us.

Throat Chakra Balance or Imbalance

There are multiple signs of open and balanced throat chakra energy as well as of closed or imbalanced energy. A number of dis-eases can also be related to the throat chakra. Learning about them is a first step to helping them.

Signs of Closed or Imbalanced Energy:

Excessive Energy

arrogant, dogmatic, dominate conversations, self-righteous, talk too much, speaks without thinking

Deficient Energy

inconsistent, maniuplative, scared, timid, unable to express self, mumbles or voice is a whisper

General  Imbalance

communication issues, dishonesty, eating issues including eating disorders, frustration, speech disorder, gossiping, horrified by the idea of speaking in public, speech disorders

Signs of Balanced or Open Energy: 

able to truly listen, eloquent, freely express self with ease, lives in the present, sense of humor, sense of timing, truthful, confident when talking to strangers, easy to complain appropriately about  poor service or goods, easy verbal communication in writing, repects the power of language

Related Dis-ease: 

addictions, anorexia nervosa, asthma, binge eating, bronchitis, colds, common addictions (smoking, exercise high, inhalants), ear infections, gingivitis and other gum problems, hearing problems, hyperthyroid, laryngitis, lost voice, mouth ulcers, parathyroid, sinus problems, skin irritations, sore throat, speech disabilities, stuttering, swollen glands, TMJ, thyroid imbalance or disease, tonsilitis, tooth issues, throat cancer, upper respiratory illness, voice problems

Working with exercises and items that are beneficial for the throat chakra can help get this chakra's energy into open balance and help keep it there.
